1. These rules may be site as Sabah Tea Adventure Race Rules 2006.

2. In these rules

~ “STAR 2006” means the Sabah Tea Adventure Race Rules 2006 and the Organizing Committee.

ATTIRE
3. Each participant shall be free to choose their own attire for the STAR 2006. However, the usage of transparent attire is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

NUMBERS FOR PARTICIPANTS
4. Each participant shall be given an official number, which must be affixed with safety pins on the front and back of the participant’s attire.
RACE DETAILS
5. STAR 2006 is an adventure race with a combination of mountain-biking, jungle trail running and River & Obstacle Crossing. The race course will provide racers a feeling of cycling in one of the best off-road; running in one of the best forest and military like obstacle crossing.

TIME LIMIT
6. The time limit allocated for participants is 3 hours.

CATEGORY
7. The race is categorize into 3 categories, which are

I - Men Open (Aged 16 and above)

II - Women Open (Aged 16 and above)

III - Men Veteran (aged 40 and above)

MEDAL & TROPHY
8. Winners of the first three placings will receive a medal.

CERTIFICATE
9. All participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the race within the time limit.

OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE
10. Each participants shall complete the race without any outside assistance.

CHECK-STATION JUDGES
11. Check-Station judges identified with name tags will be based at various check-stations along the STAR 2006 race route and each participant are required to pass through all stations. Failing to do this shall result in his or her automatic disqualification.

APPEAL JURY
12. Any participant may appeal to the Jury which shall consist of 3 members of Technical Official appointed by the Organizing Committee. Any decision made by the Jury shall be final.

INDEMNITY
13. The STAR 2006 shall not liable for any injury or death, which occur to any participant before, during and after the race.

AMENDMENT TO RULES & REGULATIONS
14. The Committee reserves the right to amend the Rules & Regulations of the STAR 2006 at any time as it may deem fit.
